  • First Lutheran Church 1100 E. Superior St., Duluth, MN 55802 (map)

The local Brady Campaign Chapter, along with Moms Demand Action and many other organizations and faith groups, are co-sponsoring a vigil/community gathering- EMBRACING HOPE THROUGH ACTION. There will be 50 candles lit for each state, a bell ringing, and speakers to talk about gun violence looking back since the Sandy Hook shooting, the present, including the recent election, and the future for our kids and students.

Speakers will include Frank Jewell, St. Louis County Commissioner who has been an advocate for gun violence prevention efforts for many years and a student from the local March For Our Lives group along with several clergy and other community leaders.

Participants will write post cards during the gathering time to our Congressman elect in support of universal background checks.
